Henry Hall was the first native born American to win world titles as a ski jumper. Over a 20 year career he won two national championships, was the winner of the World Amateur championship in 1913 and won the world professional title while setting a world didstance record in 1917. In 1921 he set another world distance record of 221 feet at Revelstoke, British Columbia. He continued to ski jump until the age of 79 while residing in Farmington, Michigan. He cross country skied until he was 91.
