Warren Miller

After service in the navy during World War Two Warren Miller spend the 1946-1947 ski season as a ski bum, driving to every ski area possible with a car and a small camper trailer.  This lead to an extraordinary career as an author on skiing and a film maker.  Indeed the name of Warren Miller has become synonymous with the term ski films.

Through the early years he worked as a ski instructor and also engaged as a ski racer.  However, his film making took off in the early 1950's and the premier of the annual Warren Miller ski film became an event that skiers could not miss.  His films reached millions and drew countless skiers to the sport.
