Eric Bergoust

Eric Bergoust was a trampoline loving teenager growing up in Missoula, Montana who became enthused by freestyle aerials skiing after watching it on television. There is a legend that says he was the first through the gates in Calgary in 1988 to watch the Olympic freestyle aerials events. In 1990 he joined the U.S. Ski Team, retiring in 2006. He competed on a record setting four Olympic Teams. A three time national champion he won 17 World Cup events and reached the podium 30 times. He was the Olympic champion in freestyle aerials in 1998 and the World champion in 1999.
